'Basket of Peace', first meeting of social entrepreneurs in Valle del Cauca.
More than 40 production projects for artisan food and beverages, clothing, decoration, and services from six municipalities were presented at Club Cañasgordas.
On Sunday, November 13, the first meeting of social entrepreneurs 'Canasta de Paz' was held at the Club Cañasgordas Recreation and Sports Center in Cali, with the assistance of 40 local businesses from Cali, Palmira, Candelaria, Guacari and Zarzal.
During the show, 40 exhibitors participated with products such as food, handicrafts, services, clothing, wines and artisan beverages. For this commercial event, the participants received training in customer service, exhibition, communication, cost and price displays, advertising strategies, commercial pitch, personal presentation, and logistics.
"For more than 10 years, from National and International Cooperation, we have worked to strengthen projects with young people, women, families, migrants, among other populations that require support, training, and guidance to consolidate their business ideas," said Felice Grimoldi. This initiative brings together the experience of the Family Compensation Funds Comfenalco Valle Delagente and Cafam with the support of the Family Subsidy Superintendency to promote the productive units of communities in Valle del Cauca and Tolima.
Similarly, from Cafam - Melgar in Tolima, Luis Guillermo Pérez, Superintendent of the Family Subsidy said "I invite all businessmen to buy directly from the reincorporated, the peasants, the women entrepreneurs, because the force of change is in the work and in peace. This initiative seeks to buy directly without intermediaries, it is time to generate popular, circular economies that contribute to generating work and social well-being”.
This program, which begins in Valle del Cauca and Tolima, and seeks to extend to more Compensation Funds in the country, with the support of the Family Subsidy Superintendence, as an alternative for local economic reactivation that boosts the population and their families, achieving the integration of the regions.
