In a joint effort between the Comfenalco Valle Delagente Family Compensation Fund, the Colombian National Army and Royal Films, the second version of the “Comunidades Delagente” social event was held on August 12 and 13, benefiting more than 500 people from township Bazán la Bocana in Buenaventura.
The day began on the night of Friday, August 12, with a performance by Spider-Man, the famous superhero who appeared on the big movie screen that was transported by land and sea by the technical team of Royal Films and the Navy. Nacional de Colombia, to bring the population an unforgettable experience to live the magic of the seventh art under the stars in the company of their relatives and neighbors.
Also, through the coordination of the team of collaborators from Comfenalco Valle Delagente, on Saturday, August 13, activities for the well-being and entertainment of the community were carried out, which included soccer tournaments, directed recreation, games and prizes for children, gatherings , creative crafts, reading aloud, training offer with SENA and job opportunities for young people with the Employment Agency of Comfenalco Valle Delagente.
Ana Ximena Vallejo, head of National and International Cooperation of Comfenalco Valle Delagente, indicated that "the balance was very positive, because among all the institutions we managed to bring to the community the daily activities that can be done in the city, such as going to the movies, enjoy a recreation, visit a traveling library, participate in job offers and training in values and life project, receive kits for their well-being and education, thus bringing services to institutions and the community”.
For his part, Juan David Rendón Zapata, commander of the Buenaventura Coast Guard Station of the Colombian National Navy, was very pleased to accompany the Comfenalco Valle Delagente Family Compensation Fund in the development of this activity, which contributes to the Families and the community can have at their disposal different basic social services for their well-being and development.
The Bazán La Bocana community, which benefited from the event, thanked the social work led by Comfenalco Valle Delagente and other institutions that promote spaces for coexistence and recreation among the inhabitants.
This activity of Comunidades Delagente is carried out within the framework of the promotion and strengthening of the sustainable tourism policy of Comfenalco Valle Delagente, which is committed to promoting, preserving and protecting the heritage of the region in the areas where it is present with the services of hotels in its recreational centers located in Yanaconas in Cali, Villasol in Cartago and Comfamar in La Bocana Buenaventura.
