Sustainable tourism policy


Aware of the importance of maintaining sustainable tourism development, at Comfenalco Valle Delagente hotels we are committed to providing services that meet the requirements of stakeholders, legal provisions and standards of the Colombian hotel and tourism sector, as well as the correct use of the natural, socio-cultural and economic resources necessary for our activity.

We are responsible for the preservation and protection of the heritage of the region, promoting the tourist destinations where our hotels are located, preserving traditions and improving processes, in order to mitigate any negative impact. We develop awareness and training actions to motivate and raise awareness about the principles of sustainable tourism, promoting the rights and duties of our collaborators, clients and suppliers.

We reject the commercial sexual exploitation of children and adolescents (CSEC), any method of child labor exploitation and the different forms of discrimination, working together with the competent authorities to prevent these acts and report any case that arises.

  • • Supervisar la aplicación y cumplimiento de la legislación y reglamentación aplicable al respecto.
  • • Fomentar la reducción, reutilización, el reciclado de residuos.
  • • Racionalizar el consumo de la energía, del agua y de los recursos naturales.
  • • Divulgar a los clientes, proveedores y colaboradores los conceptos de sostenibilidad con los que trabaja la Corporación, incluyendo la promoción de sus derechos y deberes.
  • • Aumentar la satisfacción del cliente con relación a los productos y servicios hoteleros de Comfenalco Valle Delagente.
  • • Generar alianzas con las Entidades Territoriales y Turísticas, con el fin de promocionar los destinos turísticos de las regiones donde están ubicados nuestros hoteles.
  • • Prevenir la explotación, violencia y comercialización sexual de menores de edad.


  • • Prohibir el ingreso de niños, niñas y adolescentes a los lugares de alojamiento y hospedaje, bares y demás sitios donde se presten servicios turísticos, con fines de explotación o de abuso sexual.
  • • Denunciar ante el Ministerio de Comercio, Industria y Turismo, ICBF, Policia Nacional y demás autoridades competentes, los hechos de que hubiere tenido conocimiento por cualquier medio o indicios,  relacionados con explotación sexual de niños, niñas y adolescentes y asegurar que al interior del hotel existan canales para la denuncia correspondiente.
  • • Informar a clientes, huéspedes, proveedores y colaboradores de los Hoteles sobre las consecuencias legales en Colombia de la explotación y el abuso sexual de niños, niñas y adolescentes, a través de los medios de comunicación establecidos por la Corporación.
  • • Capacitar a todo el personal vinculado al Hotel, clientes, huéspedes y a los proveedores que por la naturaleza de sus actividades tengan contacto con turistas, frente al tema de prevención de la explotación sexual comercial de niños, niñas y adolescentes.
  • • Fijar en lugar visible del Hotel el presente Anexo, que hace parte integral del Código de Ética y Buen Gobierno de la Corporación y los demás compromisos encaminados a proteger a los niños, niñas y adolescentes.
  • • Para el caso de los menores de edad, solicitar tarjeta de identidad o registro civil, para verificar vínculo que lo(s) identifique con parentesco de consanguinidad de primer grado con la persona que hace la reserva o esta a cargo del menor.  Si la persona se aloja con otro pariente menor de edad que no sea el hijo, se debe solicitar carta de autorización de uno de los padres para alojarse. En todo caso, no se permitirá el alojamiento cuando se tenga sospecha de que pueda tratarse de un caso de abuso sexual a menores.
  • • Abstenernos de dar información a los turistas, directamente o por intermedio de los colaboradores acerca de lugares desde donde se coordinen o donde se presten servicios sexuales con menores de edad.

The Yanaconas Recreation and Vacation Center is located in the rural area of Santiago de Cali in Colombia, near the Los Farallones National Natural Park.
This natural area is known as The Return to the West because it is located on the western side of the capital of Valle del Cauca. When looking to the west of Cali, you can see the mountain range where the Christ the King monument stands imposingly.
This route of The Return to the West It can be done by taking the traditional transport, known as chivas, from Carrera 10 with Calle 10, in front of Parque Santa Rosa de Cali.

The townships of Los Andes, Pichindé, La Leonera, Felidia, El Saladito and La Elvira, are part of this route as beautiful landscapes that invite you to enjoy the gastronomic, artisanal and landscape offer.

THE ANDES: Township located in the hillside area of Cali, on the Western mountain range and is made up of 14 trails. It has a great diversity of landscapes, water, fauna and flora, it is also recognized for having two of the three most important peripheral religious monuments of the city: Christ the King and the Virgin of Yanaconas.

PICHINDÉ: It is located in the western mountain range on the left bank of the Pichindé River, in the hydrographic basin of the Cali River. It is made up of three villages: Pichindé Cabecera, Loma de La Cajita and Peñas Blancas.

FELIDIA: This township has a great diversity of landscapes, water, fauna and flora, thanks to the fact that the 75% of its area is located within the PNN Farallones and other areas of the Cali forest reserve. The village is located on the Western mountain range, in the Cali river basin, sub-basin of the Felidia river. It is made up of eight villages: El Diamante, La Soledad, El Cidral, La Ascensión, La Esperanza, Santa Helena, Felidia Cabecera and Las Nieves.

THE SALADITO: This is one of the oldest townships in the city, the church of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary stands out as a cultural reference, of pilgrimage. Several artists dedicated to oil painting and sculpture reside here. The San Antonio Forest is one of the most important natural attractions in the area, whose state of conservation guarantees birdwatching work.

THE ELVIRA: Northwest of the municipality of Cali, on the Western Cordillera, in the upper part of the Aguacatal river basin. The entire village is in a forest reserve zone except for La Elvira - head. It limits the west with the municipality of Dagua; to the northwest with the highest point of the Aguacatal river basin and the municipality of La Cumbre; to the northeast with the municipality of Yumbo and to the southwest with the townships of La Castilla and El Saladito. It is made up of four villages: Los Laureles, La Elvira Cabecera, Km 18 and Alto Aguacatal.

The Hotel Comfamar de La Bocana is located in a rural area of the Buenaventura District in Valle del Cauca on the Colombian Pacific coast, it is a tourist destination that offers natural attractions of tropical rainforest between the sea and the mangroves with a wide variety of fish , beautiful beaches and the PNN Uramba full of ecosystems and flora and fauna.

The Villasol Recreation and Vacation Center located north of Valle del Cauca in the municipality of Cartago is located in the area of influence of the Colombian coffee axis, geographical, cultural, economic and ecological region in the departments of Caldas, Risaralda, Quindío and north of the Valley from Cauca. The municipality is located 187 kilometers from Cali, just over 2 hours by road.

The Viceroy's House: This colonial building was built during the time of the Spanish colony to receive the viceroy Don José de Espeleta who would visit the region, but never arrived. Currently it is a museum that also houses the Pedro Morales Pino music conservatory.

Religious monuments: Colonial style Guadalupe Church was built in 1808, the 17th century San Jerónimo Church is a jewel that was totally restored; the Church of Santa Ana built in 1691 and which houses numerous relics and the Cathedral Nuestra Señora del Carmen with a majestic style is imposed in the center of the city.

The House of Culture: where there is always something interesting and the city parks where people usually meet: the Bolívar Park, the Linear Park and the San Francisco Park where one can sit and rest and watch life go by in the place of the happiest sun in Colombia .

Grape National Park (La Unión Valle): A space for family recreation and entertainment designed to promote tourism development in the North of the Valley based on the cultivation and production of grapes, a traditional fruit in this area.

Consotá Park - Risaralda Family Recreation and Vacation Center: recreation space of the Risaralda Comfamiliar Compensation Fund located in the city of Pereira. Provides attractions and services for tourists in hotel accommodation and cabins with the use of all areas. It has an auditorium and rooms for holding events, restaurants, swimming pools, wave pools, fishing lakes, multiple courts and tennis courts, Noé's interactive farm and mechanical attractions. It is located in the area of the road to the Valley, Galicia sector. Access is public from Tuesday to Sunday from 9 am to 5 pm. You must pay the entrance fee with the right to participate in the activities that can be carried out in the park with restriction to some mechanical attractions. Recuca - Tour of the Coffee Culture: it is an interactive and deep experience with everything that surrounds the production of a cup of coffee. Located in the Finca la Chapolera, Vereda Calle Larga, district of Barcelona, Calarcá Municipality of Quindío. 18 kilometers from Armenia, Quindio, Colombia. Of the Tourist Destinations of the Coffee Axis, this is the best to get to know Colombian coffee. In this great tour you will enjoy a jacket (Coffee with panela water in Firewood) and Bogadera (Panela water with Lemon). Del Fiambre Typical dish of the region. Time between Cartago and Recuca one hour and 15 minutes.

COFFEE NATIONAL PARK: Founded by the National Federation of Coffee Growers of Colombia and the Departmental Committee of Coffee Growers of Quindío, it belongs to the Parque de la Cultura Cafetera Foundation and is a non-profit entity dedicated to the preservation of the cultural and historical heritage of coffee in Colombia, through the promotion of cultural, recreational and ecological activities and the promotion of eco-tourism in the region. It has an average temperature of 21º and more than 25 attractions, both mechanical and cultural. It is located between the municipalities of Montenegro and Pueblo Tapao. Time between Cartago and Parque del Café between 45 to 60 minutes.

LOS NEVADOS NATIONAL NATURAL PARK: Los Nevados National Natural Park is located in the Central Cordillera in the Andean Region of the Andes in Colombia. The park comprises the thermal floors corresponding to those of cold, páramo, super-páramo and snow, for which its main ecosystems are the Andean forests, páramos and glacier. It is located in the City of Manizales. Time between Cartago and Los Nevados Natural Park between 2 hours and 2 hours and a half.

THE HOT SPRINGS OF SANTA ROSA DE CABAL: One of the main references of Risaralda are the hot springs of Santa Rosa de Cabal. The medicinal water that springs from the earth and merges with the pure and fresh that comes down from the mountains, more than 100 meters high, and branches out into small waterfalls and natural showers, offer an unprecedented spectacle.
It is located 17.8 kilometers from Santa Rosa de Cabal, Risaralda, Colombia, of which 12.8 km are of unpaved rural highway with good specifications for the access of family and group vehicles. Approximate time from Cartago 1 and 30 minutes.

THE MUNICIPALITY OF SALENTO IN EL QUINDÍO: Salento is a Colombian municipality in the department of Quindío. Called the father of Quindío for being the oldest municipality in this department, it is known as the Cuna del Arbol Nacional “La Palma de Cera” municipality. It has a great variety of tourist attractions, including the Cocora Valley where you can find a landscape full of nature and go on ecological walks and enjoy the beautiful landscapes of this town. Time between Cartago and Salento and Valle del Cócora between 1 and a half hours.

PANACA PARK: It is the first agricultural theme park in the world and the largest in Latin America. It offers you a fun-filled experience and interaction with the field, themed stations and the largest collection of domestic zoology in the world. It offers an experience between animals, nature and man. In this park, you will enjoy more than 4,500 animals on a 2.8-kilometer route. Time between Cartago and Panaca 45 Minutes is located in the municipality of Quimbaya.

The rafting through El Rio la Vieja is a very exciting natural adventure, where you can appreciate the flora and fauna of the region, while navigating on the waters of the river in a raft carried by the river current, an adventure in the area of the axis coffee grower. The trip begins at Puerto Alejandría in Quimbaya (Coffee Triangle) where you arrive from Armenia in the famous campervans of the region that transport coffee, called Jeep Willys. From there tourists navigate the river, traveling around 12 kilometers. They can be done from Puerto Samaria Montenegro and Puerto Alejandria Quimbaya.
